Seventeen

  

Seventeen ....this number doesn't sound good to me.  I am beginning to realize my daily interaction with Colleen is coming to a halt sooner than later.  Sixteen was a year with highs and lows.  I know Colleen is glad to see it go.  She learned some valuable lessons this year.  I think the hardest for her was learning you can't always trust people, even those who say they love you and will be around forever.  She learned she has to work hard in school and sports to achieve her goals, that natural talent is no longer good enough.  She learned her Daddy's motto of "The hardest decision you will ever make is the right one!" is so true.   She has come to seventeen with her head up high and her heart full of love and we couldn't be more proud of her!
