Soccer Player
Colleen made her middle school soccer team. She decided to try soccer instead of playing basketball this year. She has been playing rec soccer with these girls for a couple of years, so she is hopeful they will have a great team. The best part is she is with her best buddies for a couple of more hours everyday!
Football
Donavan's team won 26-6. Donavan plays right guard. He was highly entertaining to watch. It took a few plays for him to understand that you don't just stand up, let the other guy hit you and then turn around in circles looking to see where the ball went. His team has one fast running back! It began to storm right before Conlan's game so it was postponed. Conlan is the center on offense and the defensive end on defense. I can't wait to see him play both ways!

Sierra slept thru the whole game!

Conlan was ready to play!

Donavan is one of the youngest on the team and is still taller than everyone. He is #51.

It is not always Donavan's fault.
While I was looking for dirty socks in the boys room. I found a dirty sock that had candy wrappers inside it. I asked Donavan why he put the wrappers in his dirty sock. Donavan was acting totally innocent, so I began to really fuss at him. Conlan sheepishly said "That might have been me." What??? Conlan said he didn't want me to know he was eating candy in his room, but that it was Donavan's dirty sock b/c he never picks up his stuff. I loved how he tried to put it back on Donavan!

Meeting the teachers
Yesterday, we met Colleen and Conlan's teachers. They both seem to be in good hands. It was interesting how Colleen is the big wig 8th grader and Conlan is the newbie. Donavan has got a great teacher, so he should love 3rd grade. She was teasing him that she heard he was a troublemaker. Donavan informed her that was not true he never got in trouble. She made sure he knew she was teasing and that she had heard wonderful things about him. Monday is the big day!

Bedtime
Sierra fell asleep at 8:50. I thought I need to go to bed too, and then realized I still had 3 kids up. Of course they weren't thinking about going to bed. Colleen was going to help with school stuff the next day, so I needed to make sure her clothing choice was going to cover her appropriately:) Donavan has no more than 500 chigger bites on his seat area, so we had to spray him down. It is getting close to 10, but I managed to get about 45 minutes of sleep before Sierra woke up, which was good because she was in party mode until 1am. Ray does come in handy when it comes to my sleep. Days and nights are getting longer when I don"t get my beauty rest!

Sierra's two week appt.
Sierra had a hard time this morning. She weighed 7lbs 14oz, so she had only gained 1.5 ozs. Plus she is still yellow so she had to go to the lab and get her foot poked. The doctor thinks her weight is probably due to breast feeding so we go back next week for a weight check and we find the results of the blood test this afternoon. She was styling with the pink ankle wrap, trying to keep up with Colleen already!

Life besides Sierra
Colleen won MVP for her age group in summer swimming for Collge Heights. Colleen had attended volleyball camp last week and won hardest hitter and 6 on 6 trophies.

Donavan won the MVP for his age group!

Donavan was decorated by one of the swim coaches before finals. I hope it is not a sign of things to come.
