My Girls

RMC Volleyball

Pics from Courtland game

The ending

Just when we thought the game was a lost, a rushed field goal saved the game.  The first picture was in the local paper.  The 3rd is the moment Conlan knew they had won the game.  The 2nd shows white boys can jump!

First Tooth is Gone

It was loose for over two weeks and Sierra pulled it out all by herself.  She was/is so proud of herself.  My baby girl is growing up😢.

SouthPort, NC

This is a beautiful little place.  I loved the Victorian homes, the Cape Fear River and the food.

Turtle Hatching

Spent two days and nights waiting for the turtles to boil from the ground.  What an incredible experience!  From watching the first two turtles climb out of the sand to following them to the ocean.  One turtle followed the light at the end of the beach instead of the moonlight.  I followed him about 30 yards before the waves finally caught him.  Nature at its best!

Oak Island

My friend, Catherine, took me to her family's beach house for my birthday.  Oak Island is located on the southern NC coast.  It was a beautiful place.

D's Scrimmage

Donavan had his first experience with high school football.  He is currently starting at right guard and playing nose guard on defense.  The freshman team has lots of talent but still has lots more to learn.
The best part was Conlan was able to come and work with the freshman on the field.  Donavan had his own personal coach...and even appreciate Conlan helping him out.  Donavan is still trying to get his body and mind to work together.

Scrimmage

Conlan had his first scrimmage.  It was super hot and was canceled half way thru due to lightning.  The heat was getting the best of Conlan but he was on the field for the whole first quarter playing  both ways.  Offense was looking good, defense is going to need some work.

Bonding

Colleen has not always appreciated Donavan.  Donavan has expressed concern that Colleen might not enjoy him until they were adults.
He needs to worry no longer.  Mainly due to D's ability to be awake after 10pm, he got to spend time with Colleen and her friends.  It was sweet and enjoyable watching their relationship change.

Move in Day

We took Colleen back for her sophomore year.  She is in a different dorm on the third floor. She seemed to be happy to be back at school.
