Ray's birthday

Yesterday was Ray's 42nd birthday. He spent the day fishing with his dad, and then the whole family traveled to the BASS PRO SHOP and had dinner. Ray present was to buy whatever he wanted( Conlan reminded him there was a price range). We had a great time. I am not sure the three kids should of been playing hiding go seek in the store, but they sure entertained themselves. I did remind Donavan that he needed to make sure he got found, b/c his siblings might forget to seek him:). The funny thing was when it was time to leave it was Papa we all had to go find. That store is a dream place for anyone who loves the outdoors.

A couple of funny things...

I dreamed the another night Daddy was the Postmaster for Mayesville, Ar. How it was the perfect job b/c no one went there, except on Saturdays when the whole community showed up to buy stamps. Which caused Daddy great anxiety so we all had to show up to help him out!

Colleen and Conlan have had a few days of being on each others nerves. Conlan was griping to Ray how Colleen was mean and yelling at him all the time. Donavan piped up and said "Tell her she is pretty and she will be nice to you." "It works for me all the time."

Happy Birthday Brock

Brock is 8 years old today.

50 Free at Finals

Swimming Pics

The Annoying Frustrating Sport of Swimming

Colleen didn't have one of her better meets this weekend. She did make it back to finals in her 50 Breast and 50 Free, but was very disappointed with her times in the 100 Breast and 100 Free. Oh well it was one of those learning experiences. I hate to see her cry, but I keep telling myself she can't win every time.
We have a three week break from swimming, and she will be finished with volleyball on Tuesday. She is excited about soccer and playing with her friends.

Go, Go , go until you can go no more

That is how I have felt this week. Maybe it was the first time I worked 5 days in a row in a few weeks or maybe it was that soccer started or maybe it is because I am pregnant.....or maybe all three factors put together.
All three kids started soccer. They all seem happy with their teams and ready to be outside in the fresh air. Colleen and Conlan swam in a pentathlon this morning. They both did a terrific job. We don't have the results yet, but it looked like Colleen won overall in her free, breast, and fly but the races were way too close. Conlan was kicking butt dropping all times of time. He is hoping to place in the top eight overall.
Colleen got a positive referral this week at school for always doing her best. She also helped led a successful FCA meeting. There were about 25 kids there.
Donavan this week informed me that Colleen had much more time on her hands than he did...Spongebob is very time consuming:) I met with his teacher and got a very positive report. I thank God that I have 3 well behaved kids(at least at school).
Conlan and Ray went on a field trip to Petersburg to a Civil War museum. Conlan and Ray both said it was the best field trip ever.
I have a feeling this week is going to be worst than last week. Our aide in the classroom is gone to a head start convention, so the week will be chaotic. Our little guys do not like change. Colleen has three volleyball games. Friday we go to the State Champs. Three days and nights of fun at the pool. Then no swimming until April 20th...Yeah!!!!!!!

Doctor Appt.'s

This week I had my 19 week sonogram and a regular doctors appt. The sonogram showed a curled up baby, so we didn't get a definite gender call. The tech said she was leaning toward a girl, but the doctor said not to go girl shopping yet. They also couldn't get a good view of the heart so I go back on April 1. Everything looked good though....it had all it's parts. My regular appointment went great. My blood pressure was 110/85, and I have gained only 6 pounds so far. Thankfully next month I get to see my regular gyn/ob and that is always nice. Since it was a snow day all the kids got to go see the sonogram. I don't think they were overly impressed. A lot of blobs that were described as body parts. They did like seeing the spine and ribs and watching the heart beat. Of course not getting a definite boy/girl answer was a let down, though Colleen will tell you they said GIRL!
