School Record Broken

Conlan got 22 rebounds during the game against Freedom. That broke the school record for most rebounds in one game! He also scored 5 points. Their team is now 2-1.

Breaststroker

Colleen won her breaststroke last night and the medley relay won. She also got 3rd in the fly and the Free relay got 2nd.

Sports update

Conlan's team won 39-13 on Thursday..Conlan scored 2 pts and had 7 rebounds. He didn't play alot due to getting into foul trouble early and then the team being so far ahead. He did do a great job screening so his teammates could get layups.

Colleen had a good first swim meet. More important than swimming well she got her own sentence in the hometown newspaper.

The highlight of the article was..... Colleen Beaver led the way for the Panthers girls by winning the 100 breaststroke.

Anyone who knows Colleen knows her name in the Free Lance Star is most important. Though her dream is to have her picture front and center. LOL

First game

Conlan had his first basketball game. He was nervous the first half but got more comfortable the 2nd half. They lost in the last 10 seconds of the game. This was the write up in the school paper.

The Thornburg Boy's Basketball team lost to Chancellor Middle yesterday 37 to 35, in a game that was decided in the last few seconds. Leading scorers for the Jags were Tyler Johnson with 11 points, and Conlan Beaver with 9 points.

Conlan has to dress up on game days.

Conlan received the Spirit Award for his football team. The coach said he always gave 100% and helped keep all the "yahoos" rounded up.

Hiking 8 miles is hard for me. Once I made it 3 miles up the mountain I tripped and landed my butt. I wanted Conlan to hold me up but he didn't seem too excited about helping his old mom.

every lineman's dream

Donavan's dream of running the football came true the last game of the season. The video is the official first time he ran the ball. I missed filming the BIG EVENT. He was given the ball for a conversion point and he SCORED! Donavan said it was the longest two yards ever. He was a happy little boy, times like that make all the practices and hard work not seem so bad.

Busy week for Donavan, he had an awards assembly for the nine weeks. He mamde the honor roll and was recognized for getting a positive referral. Donavan also had the SCA installation of officers. He wrote and spoke about their mission statement. I am very proud of my little boy.

Insight to Sierra's future personality traits

Halloween

Sierra loved Halloween. She made it around the whole block. She would say "treat" and "dank you". She did not allow anyone to hold her bag. She only got scared with the really scary stuff, but it never stopped her candy hunting.
On the other hand she did not enjoy her pumpkin picking. I will blame it on her being sick.

Homecoming

Fancy dresses, heels,pretty hair and lots of friends...must be homecoming
You get use to seeing these girls in their volleyball attire, so it is quite the shock when they put on fancy clothes and wear makeup. I can't believe how fast time is flying by with Miss Colleen. I am thankful she has such great friends.

Football

Conlan's team continues with its JAG SWAG and is now 3-1-1. They have one more game before the middle school championship. Conlan is doing so well blocking and breaking thru the defensive line.
Donavan's team is having a hard time, but Donavan continues to do well as DE. His coaches are impressed with how well he reads the offense. Donavan will tell you they are not scoring on his side of the field.

Growing up

Colleen's team is currently 8-4 in the district and ranked 4th out of 9 teams. they have made huge gains since last year but will have to knock of the 2 top teams if they want to go to regionals.
The video shows Colleen doing her thing, unfortunately they lost the point. Notice how she jumps up and down, she was told my her "favorite" ref she could not do that. Colleen was not a happy camper since she has been jumping up and down since she was swimming.

Conlan's football

Conlan's team is 2-1-1 and has been getting better with every game. Conlan loves blocking, which makes his dad proud. Conlan still needs to work on defending his man on defense instead of where the ball is but it is a learning process. His coaches of been singing his praises about what a hard worker he is on and off the field.

Sports update- D's Football

Donavan's team is having a rough start... they are 1-3 (one team has beaten them twice) Donavan is playing well as defensive end. Donavan has been given a leadership role as a captain and helping give the pep talks before the games.
