Things Sierra probably shouldn't be allowed to do

Sierra now can say "NO" "GET" "OUT" Wonder why those are some of her first words??

Apparently she heard me say her bear needed a bath!

She already knows about "happy hour".

If the dog isn't going to be in there I might as well be....

Why do I have to be such a boring white girl???

This was Colleen's question of the day. In her World Geography class they were discussing cultures and what each student's family did that was a cultural thing.
Colleen's class consist of two Africans, two India boys, a girl from the Ukraine, and 3 middle eastern kids, a exchange student from Japan..and a couple of Hispanics. Poor Colleen had nothing to offer except her uncle was born in France, and her teacher said that didn't count has a cultural food or event:)
Colleen came home asking if there was something we did..She didn't take that we go visit the relatives from that nation of Texas and eat their food, or we eat fried fish and hush puppies in AR. She informed us she was not going to let her kids be boring white children and she was going to spice up her life. She is so her Aunt Jane!!!!!

Sports up date

Colleen's volleyball team finished strong and ended the season 12-5. The boys football teams start playoffs this week. Donavan's team is 5-1 and are rocking. Conlan's team is losing teammates due to injuries and have lost their last two games. They are 3-3. Winter sports are right around the corner....
The end of the nine weeks is this week. Lots of test and projects due but so far the kids are hanging strong.

Family fun day

We took a trip to Skyline drive. The kids are beginning to think fun and family don't need to go together. The trees are starting to change and we did enjoy ourselves. Next week we are planning the big hike for family fun...stay tune...

Sierra going for the pass

Football boys

Conlan's team won 12-6. Conlan was whacked coming and going yesterday, but made some good tackles.

Donavan's team won 26-6. Donavan had a great block that helped the WR catch a touchdown pass.

Gram and her kids

Gram tackled the BEAVER WORLD yesterday. She went to Westmoreland with us and saw Conlan's football game and did George Washington's Birth place and had ice cream at the berry farm.

Shopping girls

Mattie and Colleen were on the hunt for a homecoming dress. They talked us into taking them to Richmond for the perfect dress. While they pulled dresses off the racks, I worked the clearance racks. They tried on many dresses but we hit the jackpot and walked out of Dillards with 2 dresses for under 30 bucks. Not to mention two happy teenage gals and two very excited moms.
