I have to concrete on football and basketball. I don't have time for girls.
I also don't need one around Valentines Day...maybe I will think about it in March, but she can't have a spring or summer birthday.

Preview of the volleyball season
The paper today did the preview of the volleyball season for the area schools. Colleen got mentioned.
MASSAPONAX
Coach: Joe Cox
Last year: 14–2 overall (10–7 district, fourth)
Top returners: Jr. MB Colleen Beaver, Jr. OH Rachel Jankovits, Sr. S/OH Jessica Lee, Sr. OH Emilee Hill, Sr. L Shannon Stefaniga, Sr. L Kailyn Sonnenberg.
Top newcomers: So. MH Sabrina Torres, Jr. MH/OH Emily Kilpatrick.
Outlook: The Panthers return a good core of players from the district’s fourth-place team last year. Beaver was one of the region’s best blockers and Jankovits one of the top servers.
Bomb Threat
Colleen and Conlan had an exciting first day of school. A bomb threat left the school on lock down from 11:30 to 2:30. Which meant for close to three hours the student body sat in the football stadium in the summer heat. Hopefully the second day will bring a more normal school day.
A 17-year-old Massaponax High School student was taken into custody and will be charged with making a bomb threat, said Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office Lt. Troy Skebo.
At 11:25 a.m. the sheriff's office responded to the school after a school resource officer called the communications center to report the bomb threat. The school system sent out a message several hours later stating that a student received the threat in a text message from someone who was not on the school grounds.
"The school was placed on immediate lock down," Skebo said. "Following an inspection of the grounds, deputies escorted the students to a safe area on school property so that the building could be searched. Several bomb sniffing dogs responded from Spotsylvania, Stafford, Fauquier and Dulles Airport to assist with searching the school."

Cowboy in the making
Colleen's friend, Ian, left for Colorado to work on a ranch. It is called Lasater Ranch, www.lasaterranch.com . If you get a chance you should look at the website and some of the videos. Daddy would especially like the RFD like auction sale videos. LOL.. It is interesting in how they started the Beefmaster breed and their outlook on "environmental friendly ranching".

Sports Life
Fall Sports have taken over our lives once again.
Volleyball...Colleen was elected captain of the her high school team. They have been practicing nonstop the last couple of weeks. This week goes back to 2.5 hours of practice a day, instead of six. She is excited about the new season. The first scrimmage is Saturday.
Football..Conlan is loving football. Currently he is playing center and nose guard for the freshman team. This week should bring his first scrimmage also. We are hoping Conlan is half as good as he thinks he is..LOL
Donavan has been practicing three days a week for his football team. Looks like he might have some nose guard in his future too.

Broken Collarbone
Sierra fell off the chair and broke her collarbone. The first 24 hours were not pleasant but once I removed the sling she turned back into my happy child. We have a month of being "careful".
She even got her brothers to be nice to her.
