Aunt Sandy also had a birthday and Ray will be celebrating his birthday on Saturday!!

The jury is still out on how severe the fracture is but she is out of commission for a while. Next Monday she goes back for a reassessment of the damages.

Sierra's teeth are trying to break thru, she is always doing funny things with her tongue.

Donavan's OM

Donavan and his group have been working hard since November on a skit to perform for competition. The kids have to come up with all the ideas and costumes themselves. The coaches can ask questions but are not suppose to offer suggestions.
A tough concept since we are so good at telling our kids what to do all the time.

Colleen Rocks

We got the following note from Colleen's English teacher


Hi Mrs. Beaver,
I just wanted to e-mail you and say how impressed I have been with Colleen lately. She's always been a good student but she is about the only one in my B5 who has listened with earnest and dedication through all this crazy SOL stuff. I know it is dry material and hard for an 8th grader to bear but she has been absolutely outstanding. She asks questions, pays attention, and has offered some of her own meaningful examples during classroom discussions. I will be writing her a positive referral (something I rarely do because I expect kids to be their best most of the time) for her efforts. I just thought you might like to hear how wonderful she is : )


FYI- Colleen sits right next to this teacher's desk due to her socializing, so apparently her new seat is making a big difference:) Also they are working on writing and she loves to write. It is great to get positive notes from the teachers and we are so proud that she works hard.

Tree is gone

Our favorite huge willow oak tree finally had to go. The first picture shows how the base was starting to rot and was a danger to us and our house, not to mention the neighbors homes.

Sam is 6 years old today. How is that possible?

Sierra is 7 months old

Sierra is growing up way too fast. She is flipping over, sitting up, grabbing everything and jabbering constantly. She is such a joy with her happy personality.
