The start of football

Conlan's team won 30-8. Conlan started both ways as center and defensive end, and got some left tackle action. He loves DE, had a great hit and knock the ball lose that resulted in a fumble recovery.

Donavan's team won 42-6. He plays right guard. His first block resulted in the running back running thru and scoring a TD. He also got to play nose guard.

JV Volleyball

Colleen's volley ball team is 2-0 so far. Colleen's position is middle blocker, which I don't quite understand except that she is suppose to block the ball.

What a difference a year makes

except in the case of Donavan who still missed the bus.

First day of school

Donavan managed to miss the bus even though he had be up since 6, so he was running out the door to catch it around the corner. All were excited for the first day, hopefully this year will continue to bring great blessings.

Sierra is seating like a big girl

She thinks she is big stuff now.

Family of Towel heads

I am going to try and put up the vacation pictures, but it will be random postings I am sure. I did notice that my family likes the towel look.

5 activities all at 6 pm

Thursday was the perfect storm for all moms. The high school, middle school and elementary school all had back to school events at the same time. The boys were also suppose to be at football practice and Colleen had her first volleyball game. We made it to 3 out of 5. Football got dumped along with Donavan's back to school picnic. We went early to Conlan's school and got his schedule and met a couple of teachers and then headed for Colleen's game. She is starting for the JV as a middle hitter. They won 2 out of 3 games. Yeah!!! We left, made it to the high school 10 minutes after freshman orientation ended. But luck had it that her homeroom teacher was still in the class and gave her the all important schedule.
Donavan is happy with his teacher, even though she is shorter than him. Conlan was glad he didn't get stuck in an extra math class, so he was happy with his schedule. Colleen has at least one friend and every class so she is thinking high school is going to ROCK! Let's see what Tuesday brings when they start school.

Seborrheic dermatitis

This is supposedly the cause of Sierra's rash. I hope the new medicine works because it is 40 bucks for the co-pay, and I already have about 100 bucks of crams and ointments in my cabinet that won't working. We also have to wash her in anti-dandruff shampoo instead of baby shampoo.

Sierra loves spaghetti, but the strawberry was a bit tart for her.

Colleen made the volleyball team

The next best thing to making the team is all your buddies making it with you.

End of swim season

The kids finished summer swimming. Colleen received the MVP for 13-14 year olds, Conlan got Most Dedicated for 11-12, and Donavan got the COACHES AWARD for the 10 and under group. We are proud parents!
