Speech Story

Conlan's first speech teacher told Conlan and I this story today.

Mrs. C was telling Conlan how his latest speech teacher, Mrs. B had told her he was dismissed from speech. Mrs. C told Mrs. B there is no way Conlan was ready to be dismissed. She knew he couldn't say his r's. Mrs. B said yes he can. Mrs. C said she wasn't convinced, until she heard Conlan speaking in front of church a couple of weeks ago. She said she started crying (she started crying telling the story) because Conlan pronounced every word correctly. She was so proud and that she went outside and called another one of his speech therapist to tell her how great he had done. By the time she was finished with the story both her and I were crying, and Conlan was grinning from ear to ear.

Conlan has been blessed with great speech therapist. It is also wonderful that we still see a couple of them on a regular basis, so they can witness what fantastic work they did!

Soccer boys

Soccer day and other news.

We had three soccer games today. The boys lost their games, but both did an excellent job when they played goalie. Colleen's team won 2-0. Colleen played defensive and then got moved to midfield.

Early in the week we found out for sure that we are having a baby girl. Colleen was over the moon, Donavan said this way he will always be my favorite little boy and Conlan stated we don't need any more attitude in the house...Colleen was enough. I explained by the time the baby had Colleen's attitude he should be out of college and living on his own. Then I realized that was a scarier thought than having more girl attitude.

Colleen made the school's track team.
