Swimming

Colleen and Conlan are both going to regionals next week.  Colleen is going in her 100 free, 100 breast and two relays. conlan is going with his medley relay and his 200 relay.  I have truly enjoyed these two.... Seeing that others have also witnessed what a great sibling bond that they have is even better.

Hunter girl

Sierra finally got to go squirrel hunting with the boys.  Besides it being too cold she didn't like how the birds chase the squirrels away.

Snow

The boys had a "naked" snow fight.  It was 20 degrees with the windchill being 7.  Shoveled the driveway when the actually temperature was 7.  Sierra can make it outside for about 10 minutes bf she has to come back in the house.

Swimming

 Colleen won all four of her events on Friday night!  Conlan is head cheerleader for the swim team.  I hope to get some of his antics on tape  this week.

Colleen had a tournament in Lancaster.  They played so well.  After the games we found pubs to eat and drink.  Donavan found the perfect sign for him.

I had to share this email I received about D-man.  It warmed my heart and will keep him alive for another day or two;)


This is Jordan Patterson, Donavan's band director. I just wanted to let you know how proud of Donavan I am. Donavan recently switched to Baritone; he came to me and asked me if it would possible to switch as he was getting somewhat bored with Trombone. Usually I would tell a student to wait it out and give their instrument more of a chance, but with a student as intelligent and motivated as Donavan, I had no issues with him switching. When Donavan came to class after winter break, I told him what to start working on in book 1, and he replied "oh I already went through all of book 1 over break." He JUST made the switch to baritone and he already is caught up to where the rest of the class is, all due to his hard work! I am very thankful for the opportunity to teach a student like Donavan.
