Hiking the Jerse

The boys left today to go hike the AT in NJ.  Uncle Louis is doing part of the trip, and they got a surprise with  tag a long Ellie.  Donavan said It is a good thing I have someone that walks my speed and keeps me company. First day was a success with 8 miles down and camp site set up.

What a great 19 years...I have been blessed to be married to the man that I know God made especially for me.  As my sisters say he is a SAINT for dealing with me..I know I wouldn't want to be married to me. Everyday he seems thrilled to have me and the kids in his life and wants to make our lives the best.  We have been very lucky as a couple, we have four great kids and have been able to show them lots of love.  I couldn't ask for a better husband , best friend or father to our kids.

Conlan at 15 is an impressive young man.  You can always pick his almost 6'5" self out in a crowd at anytime.  If it is possible his heart is even larger than his body. Conlan is a kind soul who has a big smile for everyone he meets.  I am so proud to be his mom.  It use to frustrate me on how hard he had to work to even try to keep up in school and in sports.  Conlan's work ethic and don't give up attitude has made me realize his life challenges has only made him a better kid. It will be exciting(nervewhacking) to see what the next few years brings to us, but being a clone of his dad I only see good things for him.
