Bday celebration

Colleen hit a log that was in the river and flipped. Her dad came to the rescue and helped her flip her Kayak back over. Sierra and I got out earlier bc the Rapids were too dangerous for Sierra, so we were able to capture the action.

River Day

Best Bus Driver

A coach from Appalachian State came to talk to Conlan on Friday. Unfortunately he didn't arrive until after school was out.

Coach Ludden called Conlan to see if there was any way he could get back to school. Conlan told his bus driver the App State coach was at school. She imeddiately said "I got you Conlan" and turned the bus around and took Conlan back to school.

Ms. Waller is an older black lady who loves Ponax football and prides herself on being the team football mom. Thankfully she loves Conlan too. She is always making sure Conlan has food and when his leg was broken she made an extra bus stop so he wouldn't have to crutch it so far. I am also thankful Conlan has treated her so well back.

Extra backbone

We found out this week that Donavan has an extra vertebrae in his spine. Something that only 5% of people can say they have...fortunately it has nothing to do with his back pain. Hoping that is from over growing and over working.

Who would of thought that is what makes him special?

Band Concert

Donavan had his last middle school band concert( maybe last ever). Mr. Patterson is one of those teachers that parents love as much as their kids do. It is incredible what he can do with a bunch of middle school kids.

What a beautiful bird! Apparently he was just making a rest stop from his migration pattern.

What a day

First we went to a basketball tournament 75 miles away...oops wrong gym.. ...drive 20 more miles to the right gym...Other team doesn't show up on time. 2 hours later they start playing. Donavan does fantastic! After the game his back locks up and he can't move.

Go get xrays (he has been battling back problems for over a month

Thankfully the x Rays showed nothing obvious. Looks like muscle spasms
