Hunting????

The boys said they went hunting for three days.  But the pictures they sent me tell a different story.

Dentist time

Still trying to decide if taking all four kids to the dentist at the same time is a good idea.  Two hours is a long time, but it is done for another 6 months.

Family Love

We had a great time seeing the Christmas Lights at the Botantical Garden.  It is great seeing the Christmas spirit in Sierra.  All her excitement made the chilly night feel warm with love.

Multi-tasking Donavan

Donavan had a basketball game after school and then had to go straight to his band concert.  He had all his stuff but somehow couldn't find his undershirt in his hurry to get dressed, so another dad told him just to keep his jersey on.  Afterwards he found his T-shirt in his shoe.
Even though I am a true sports mom, I can't give enough props to the band director.  Even Conlan is impressed with the band.

Conlan's best fan

Sierra has proven herself worthy of being a football player's sister. She knows how to spell Massaponax.  "MHS"
And she knows to be excited about first downs.

First Come back

Conlan was cleared to have very limited action the Friday after Thanksgiving.  He was so excited, but realized quickly that not playing/exercising for ten weeks had taken its toll.  He did go out for a PAT kick in the second quarter.  Then we could tell he was shivering.  He was led off the field all wrapped up.  After half time he didn't come back with the team.  Ray found him in the locker room crying.  He said he was throwing up, and just wanted to go home.  We thought the cold and the emotions of the last 2 months got the best of him.  Turns out a nasty virus was the main cause of his issues, but in the short couple of hours everything snowballed.  It was definitely a night we do not want to repeat.
Except the part the team won

State semi-finals

Conlan had a great game.  Even though his parents prayed that he would be able to stand after every play.  Or by the end to be even to walk off the field.  He was a great cheerleader.  Even though they were losing you could see the excitement in him.  He had made it back to the field when most had given up on him.

Looks like D has caught up

Sierra and the Panthet

This was a huge moment! Sierra has a phobia of all things in costume.  Every football game for the last three years has resulted in her crying.  Over the season she gotten a little braver every game.  The last home game she decided it was time to hug the panther.  She made sure her daddy was with her to take the picture.

Thanksgiving

We had a special day.  We stopped by and saw the grandparents and Uncle Ken and Sandy.  Uncle Ken was doing great so that was the most to be thankful for.  We had dinner with the K's and DeVos..  Kimmie out did herself

Carbone Outfitters hunting weekend!

The boys and I went to Point Lookout for a weekend of hunting with Carbone Outfitters . We did not harvest any deer, but we had an awesome time. Uncle Vic and young John got deer. Conlan saw a nice 8 point, but it was to far away.
Donavan and I saw no deer. Still , nothing beats being on the bay , and hanging out with Family during Thanksgiving .
