Soccer Day
We had three soccer games today. The boys had games that ended in ties. Colleen's team lost 2-1 in the last couple minutes of the game. They played a "real" team that has been playing together for a few years. It was also 87 degrees outside. We were proud of the whole team. Colleen played a great game.
Donavan is tired of soccer and is ready for baseball to start. Ray spent the majority of the day playing catch with him.

They are here!
The Devos family minus Ann arrived last night. Nicolas is getting big, not to mention Ellie and Brooke both have grown in the last month. Ellie looks very cute with her toothless smile. It is suppose to rain all day, so hopefully we can find indoor things to do.

Happy Birthday Jessica
Today Jessica is 10 years old. If someone from the Young family (or maybe Tuley) could send me a picture of Jessica. I would let everyone see what a pretty girl she is........
Altarboy, straight A student, almost straight E boy
The Beaver kids have been accomplishing things right and left this week. Conlan is now an altar boy. He had his first day. He did an excellent job, even lit candles and didn't trip. He did look awful cute up there or should I say handsome:)
This week was report cards. Colleen finally got rid of that pesky B and made all A's. Her reward was her own e-mail address. We have been very proud of how hard she has worked in 6th grade. Conlan did well also. He has brought his math grades up to B's, so he is only fighting that C on the English front. He has come such a long ways and is working hard. Donavan doesn't get grades he has about 30 areas in which you can get E for excellent, S for satisfactory, and T for time needed for improvement. Donavan had all E's except for a S in using correct punctuation.
We had a few soccer games this week. Conlan's team is 1-1-1. Donavan's team is also 1-1-1. Colleen's team improved to 2-0 on Saturday. Swimming started back this week. Colleen and Conlan are glad to be back in the water, D-man not so much so.
I am subbing 3 days this week and have all kinds of committee meetings so don't expect too much from me this week on the blogging front:)

rain rain and rain somemore
Like most of the country we are in rain season, so that means no soccer. We are also on a swim break so the kids have had more free time this week. A week of rest is good for the soul, two working on three weeks of idleness is making for lots of sibling/offspring friction:) We are all ready to get back into the swing of our busy lives.
Colleen's school had a NIGHT of the ARTS. All the band, chorus and art classes were showing off. Colleen is in the drama club and they are doing the musical SEUSSCIAL.. Kind of a Horton Who play with music. They performed one of the songs last night. I was impressed. The main character is one of the girls Colleen swims with and she has a beautiful voice and a great stage presence. Colleen is going to be a WHO she does the background dancing/singing stuff, since she is only a sixth grader.
The kids have the day off from school today since it is the end of the grading period. Conlan has his friend Jackson over and we are going to go for a walk b/f it starts raining again.
