Honor Roll

  Happy to report all 3 kids made the honor roll.  Donavan showed everyone up by making straight A's.

Playing nite nite

Sierra loves playing nite nite with her siblings.

Sparks

  Nothing like sparks coming from the water heater to heat up your morning.  I had the sense to turn off the power to the unit before calling Ray.  Turns out the shower was leaking causing water to collect on top of the unit and shorting the wires.
  I tried to think of all the positives aspects while Ray was trying to figure out the damage.  Very thankful it didn't catch on fire and looks like it was fixed by the Beaver men.

Middle School Basketball

The last middle school basketball games for Conlan. They won their first game after being down 12 for the first half and still down 8 at the end of the third.
The second game was exciting but we lsot by 5.. Conlan scored 11 points with 5 of them being free throws. He was 5 for 5. The videos are of him scoring then making his free throw shot.
Today he is going to an AAU practice. There are a couple of coaches recruiting him so we will see how this new phase of basketball playing works out.

Sports Madness

And we are off to the gym...In the last few days Donavan has had two basketball games, Conlan one game and spent all day Saturday helping 2nd graders with basketball and Colleen had a swim meet and three days worth of volleyball. We have some kind of sporting event the next 14 out of 15 days. Got to love this time of the year.

School Bus Accident

Conlan didn't come home yesterday and by the time we began to worry we not only get a phone call but mutliple text messages about a bus accident. I have taken for granted that my kids will come home at the same time every day safe and sound. Thankfully it was nothing serious, but I think I will start being more prayful about the kids getting to and from school.

Five Thornburg Middle students headed to hospital after bus accident
The school division just released this information about the bus accident involving Thornburg Middle students.

Spotsylvania County School Bus 107 from Thornburg Middle School was involved in an accident this afternoon taking students home from school at approximately 3:10 p.m. The bus was carrying 43 students.

The bus driver ran off the road on Massaponax Church Road near the intersection of Summit’s Crossing Road.

Thornburg Middle School Principal Mr. Tower, Transportation, Sherriff’s Office, and the Rescue Squad were dispatched immediately. All students have been transferred to another bus at the scene and are being checked individually by emergency rescue personnel. At this time, five students are being transported to Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center with possible non-life threatening injuries.

Dman checkup

Donavan hit a milestone today.  He got his shots for middle school. He is also 5'5". 
  Sierra was making sure she did everything D did...while D was weighing Sierra stripped down to weigh also. She also sat right next to him while he was.getting checked out. She was smart enough to get off the table when the needles came out.

Hiking

Sierra is hiking with a little help from the back pack.

Washing dishes

Sierra said she was "cleaning".  Killing two birds with one stone.

Conlan has been scoring underneath and one game he made 4 out of 7 free throws.

Basketball

Conlan's team had a rough week. Conlan did not like this referee. She kept trying to tell him he couldn't use his butt to block other players.
